Sat, December 7, 2024, 11:30 AM – Sun, December 8, 2024, at Virginia Beach. Overnight reservations shall be made by each member with the Marriott SpringHill Suites. Reservations for 5:00 pm dinner at Rudee’s Restaurant on Inlet have been made by CCR.
Update: Rhodes and Todds went down to the Hotel to meet with Ms. Brown who will be handling most of our reservations for this year. All the rooms have been remodeled, the lobby and the rest of the first floor has also been completed.
Hotel Details: The Room Rates for 2024 are as follows: King Studio Suite, 10 rooms at $129.00, Queen Studio Suite, 10 rooms at $129.00, plus all applicable taxes. Reservations after October 6 will be the option of the hotel to determine if they can accept further CCR reservations based on space and rates available.
The above rates may be used for early or extended stays that weekend.
CCR Members need to make and guarantee their own hotel reservations at SpringHill Suites by calling 1.757.417,3982, or Brittnay Nosay, Gioia Brown, 1.757.383.6070. Make sure you tell them you are with the Corvette Club of Richmond to get the club rate. They are great to talk with when making your reservations and they are on the hotel premises. There will be no charges or holds against credit cards until 4 days before the event date based on hotel cancellation policy.
So, if you are planning to attend, please early register on the CCR Website and guarantee your room with the hotel for this event. Rhodes will provide a periodic CCR List to the hotel for comparison and they will let me know who has guaranteed their room.
Rudee’s Details: CCR has already made and confirmed the clubs’ reservations for Rudee’s for 5:00 pm December 7th ***. Rudee’s dinner reservations for the main dining room with great views and are made based on the number of members guaranteeing their rooms. If you just want to come to Rudee's for dinner only, please let the ODs know by phone, text or email your intentions.
Route Details: The caravan route is as follows; CCR will meet at the famous CCR starting point, the Exxon - Dairy Queen* just off I-295, Route 5, New Market exit* at 11:00 am. Then cruise the back roads, (Rt 10, 258, 58 and the last leg, I-264) to Virginia Beach, and the hotel. Route map and directions will be provided the day of the event during the drivers meeting. There will be a rest stop also. The caravan will stop at a WAWA*, 2916 Godwin Blvd, Suffolk, VA on the left side of Rt 10.
This event offers you a scenic caravan, great parking at the hotel and along with dinner at Rudee’s. A great view from the hotel balconies (all rooms have balconies facing the ocean) for the yearly holiday beach lights and socialize with your CCR friends at the hotel as the last CCR cruise event of 2024.
The club will have a large suite to socialize in once back to the hotel from Rudee's. The LCR Game assuredly will be played in the lobby as in past years, so there will be a need for a lot of $1.00 bills. Then you have the rest of the month for your Christmas shopping with your winnings.
As we move forward updates for members who are registered will be provided. A list of party “stuff” that you may wish to bring will be sent out several weeks in advance. We need to limit the items as way too much “stuff” was brought in the last 3 years. As always make sure you have your club radios and name tags with you as the club has a lot of new members planning to attend.
